Prior to the construction of the Essex Street Market in 1940, the neighborhood vendors labored on the street with produce and goods fastened to their bodies and piled onto wheeled carts. The spirit of the pushcart is conjured so as to reconstitute the possibility of mobility, community, and connectivity in distribution of printed matter and display of a model of the exhibition itself.
