Antigoni Kavvatha's works deal with the world of shadows in black and white compositions, which she manipulates to suggest something that is not there.
By detaching them from real objects, she infuses them with substance and makes them play the role of mirrors, thus creating idols, images and scenarios, not through their actual forms but through their projected images.
She deceives our senses and presents us with a phantom world in which shadow is a comment rather than an alibi.
